The Best Air Fryer Salmon (Gluten Free)

This Air Fryer Salmon recipe is gluten free, dairy free, and full of flavor thanks to the delicious marinade. It’s so simple to throw together and have a delicious protein for your meal in just ten minutes!

I’m not kidding when I say that this salmon is the BEST. Air fryer salmon is always amazing because of its crispy texture and juiciness. But this simple marinade takes it to a whole other level! With just seven ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen, you can completely transform a regular salmon fillet and pack a TON of flavor into your next meal.

This has been my go-to recipe for a quick lunch. It’s so easy to cook it up and throw on top of a salad or have with a bunch of veggies. It would be great to meal prep too so you have some quick proteins ready to go!

What You’ll Need

  • Toasted sesame seed oil – I use the Organic 365 brand from Whole Foods. You can use any neutral oil.
  • Soy sauce/tamari
  • Light brown sugar – I prefer organic!
  • Onion powder
  • Garlic powder
  • Ginger powder
  • Red pepper flakes – optional if you like extra spice.
  • Salmon – I try to get wild caught!

How To Make:

There are no specific measurements for this recipe because we’re measuring from the heart! The more sauce, the more flavor the salmon fillets will have.

You can mix up the sauce ahead of time, let the salmon marinade for a couple of hours before putting in the air fryer but cooking it right away tastes just as good! (That’s what I normally do for a quick meal).

To make the sauce, in a small bowl, add a bit of toasted sesame seed oil, a splash of soy sauce (or tamari if gluten free), a heaped spoonful of brown sugar, shakes of onion powder, garlic powder, and ginger powder. If you’re wanting to add a little spice, add some shakes of red pepper flakes! Stir to combine.

Place the salmon fillets on a sheet of parchment paper, skin side down. Take a paper towel and pat each fillet dry. Next, pour the mixture on top of each and spread until it covers the fillets.

Place the salmon in the air fryer at 375F for 10 minutes. You may need to add a couple more minutes depending on your air fryer – the salmon should be nice and crispy!

Have this as protein for lunch or dinner, meal prep for the week, and enjoy!
