Single-Serve Healthy Apple Poptart (Gluten Free, Vegan)

This Single Serve Healthy Apple Poptart is gluten-free, vegan, and low sugar. It’s made of a few simple ingredients but packs an AMAZING flavor that tastes like it’s fresh from a bakery!

It tastes even better than the traditional poptart we know and love, but you’ll have to try it for yourself. You’ll be hooked!

If you’re like me, growing up you loved a good poptart and even had a go-to flavor that was your favorite! They were so sweet and such a fun treat. The not-so-fun part? The never-ending ingredient list that’s full of things we can’t pronounce and probably didn’t make us feel too great.

That’s why I wanted to make a poptart that was JUST as delicious as I remembered but made with healthy, whole ingredients. No processed oils, refined sugars, added flavors, or dyes. And this recipe delivers just that!

What’s even better is this feels like it’s from the bakery because it’s FRESH. The crust is perfectly crispy on the edges and soft in the middle. Even though the poptart is great on its own, I always add icing to get the full effect (and more sweetness πŸ˜†).

It’s surprising how easy this is to make and honestly, it’s one of my favorite things to bake!

What you’ll need to make this Healthy Apple Poptart:

  • Oat flour – I make my own by blending oats!
  • Maple syrup
  • Coconut oil – any neutral flavored oil should work.
  • Salt
  • Baking soda
  • Apple – just one small for the filling!

I make these all the time with different fillings! I use GF flour if I don’t have oat flour and it works just as good.

        • I am so happy to hear that! Which is your favorite filling to use? Also, good to know about the GF flour! Thank you so much πŸ™‚

        • Yes, a green apple will work! Whatever kind of apple you prefer / have on hand is great πŸ™‚
