Chocolate Chip Cookie Mug

This recipe was inspired by Pinch of Yum, who had me absolutely DROOLING as I saw something similar in their Instagram stories.

I decided to make my own recipe by using ingredients that make me feel good without sacrificing that delicious, deep-dish, cookie skillet taste.

This Chocolate Chip Cookie mug is simple to make, gluten-free, and made with clean ingredients. To be honest, it might be my favorite recipe I’ve made… ever..

This is what your dough will look like.

Chocolate chip cookies are my number one dessert of choice and I am all about a personal cookie skillet with crispy edges and a soft gooey inside 🤤 I hope you guys love this recipe as much as I do!

Spread the batter evenly into mug or ramekin.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Mug

Course: Dessert
Keyword: chocolate chip, chocolate chip cookie mug, chocolate chip cookies, chocolate chunk, cookies, easy, gluten free, mug

Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp oat flour* (see notes)
  • 1 tbsp butter (I use grass-fed)
  • 2 tbsp organic sugar
  • 1 egg yolk**
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/8 tsp baking soda
  • sprinkle sea salt
  • chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350F and grease a wide mug or ramekin (make sure it’s oven-safe) with oil or butter and set aside.
  • Melt butter in a small bowl.
  • Mix in sugar, vanilla, and the egg yolk.
  • Next, stir in oat flour, baking soda, and salt. Your mixture will be a bit sticker than classic cookie dough (see pictures). Mix in a small handful of chocolate chips.
  • Spread batter evenly into mug or ramekin. Add more chocolate chips on top. Bake until the edges become slightly crispy, about 20-22 minutes.

Notes

*you can buy oat flour at the store or you can make your own. I personally always make my own because it is so easy and cheap! I have a tutorial on how to make oat flour in my Instagram highlights.
**save your egg white for a scramble!
