This cottage cheese chocolate mousse is gluten free, refined sugar free, and high protein. It's a healthy snack or sweet treat. In this glass jar is a rich chocolatey mousse with pillowy soft texture, little air bubbles on the top to show how fluffy it is. A hard chocolate shell covers the top with thick flakes of sea salt for flavor.

Cottage Cheese Chocolate Mousse (Gluten Free, High Protein)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder (or cacao powder)
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar or powdered monkfruit (or maple syrup)

Optional Chocolate Shell

  • 1 tbsp chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp coconut oil

Instructions

  • Blend cottage cheese, cocoa powder, and sweetener until smooth and thin.
  • Pour into a jar and freeze for 1-2 hours, stirring once halfway through.
  • Once set, take out of the freezer and make the chocolate shell. Melt chocolate in the microwave for 10 seconds, stir, and repeat until fully melted.
  • Pour on top of mousse, add sea salt, and enjoy!
