This Single Serve Healthy Apple Poptart is gluten-free, vegan, and low sugar. Itโ€™s made of a few simple ingredients but packs an AMAZING flavor that tastes like itโ€™s fresh from a bakery!

It tastes even better than the traditional poptart we know and love, but youโ€™ll have to try it for yourself. Youโ€™ll be hooked!

If youโ€™re like me, growing up you loved a good poptart and even had a go-to flavor that was your favorite! They were so sweet and such a fun treat. The not-so-fun part? The never-ending ingredient list thatโ€™s full of things we canโ€™t pronounce and probably didnโ€™t make us feel too great.

Thatโ€™s why I wanted to make a poptart that was JUST as delicious as I remembered but made with healthy, whole ingredients. No processed oils, refined sugars, added flavors, or dyes. And this recipe delivers just that!

Whatโ€™s even better is this feels like itโ€™s from the bakery because itโ€™s FRESH. The crust is perfectly crispy on the edges and soft in the middle. Even though the poptart is great on its own, I always add icing to get the full effect (and more sweetness ๐Ÿ˜†).

Itโ€™s surprising how easy this is to make and honestly, itโ€™s one of my favorite things to bake!

What youโ€™ll need to make this Healthy Apple Poptart:

  • Oat flour โ€“ I make my own by blending oats!
  • Maple syrup
  • Coconut oil โ€“ any neutral flavored oil should work.
  • Salt
  • Baking soda
  • Apple โ€“ just one small for the filling!

Single-Serve Apple Poptart

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup oat flour
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil (melted)
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1/8 tsp baking soda
  • 1 small apple

Optional icing: 1 tbsp powdered sugar with a few drops non-dairy milk

    Instructions

    • Preheat oven to 350F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
    • Add all ingredients to a bowl and mix well. Roll into a ball and split into 2 equal parts.
    • On the parchment paper, form each dough ball into a square. On one square, form a crust around the edges.
    • Heat apples and cinnamon with a splash of water over stovetop until softened. Mash with a potato masher or fork.
    • Add the apple mixture to the dough square with the crust. Carefully place the other square of dough on top. Using a fork, go along the edges of the crust to โ€œsealโ€ the poptart.
    • Bake for 15 mins or until edges startto slightly brown. Let cool completely.

    Optional to add icing: mix powdered sugar with non-dairy milk
