Instructions
Place an apple on a cutting board with the stem facing up.
Slice from the core down into 1/2 inch slices until the apple is completely used.
Use a bottle cap, knife, or apple corer, and remove a circle in the center of each apple slice - removing the core from those that have it and still creating a circle in the others.
Line a tray with parchment paper and place each slice on top.
Melt the chocolate by placing chocolate chips and coconut oil in a small bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds, stir, and repeat until smooth.
Dip each apple slice into the chocolate and cover both sides. Place back on the parchment-lined tray.
Add toppings of choice to your apple donuts.
Place in the freezer for 10-15 minutes or until chocolate is set.
