Healthy Burger Bowls (Gluten Free, Low Carb)

Ingredients

  • lettuce
  • tomato
  • pickles
  • red onion
  • bacon (look for organic with no added sugar)
  • shredded cheese
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • seasonings - salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika
  • avocado
  • green onion

*No specific measurements because you'll prep everything and add it to your bowl in the amounts you like! It's best to prep more and have enough for leftovers.

    Burger Sauce

    • 2 tbsp Greek yogurt
    • 2 tbsp ketchup
    • 1 tbsp mustard
    • 1 pinch salt
    • 1 tsp honey
    • pickle juice (just enough to thin the sauce)

    Instructions

    • Preheat oven to 400F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
    • Place bacon on baking sheet and bake 15-20min or until desired crispiness.
    • On the stovetop, cook the ground beef until fully cooked through and no pink remains.
    • Slice lettuce, tomato, pickles, red onion, bacon, avocado, and green onion. Shred cheese.
    • Make the burger sauce by combining the sauce ingredients, adding splashes of pickle juice to thin until you reach desired consistency.
    • Assemble burger bowl by starting with lettuce and then adding ground beef and other preferred toppings/vegetables.
    • Finish your bowl off with homemade healthier burger sauce and green onions. Enjoy!
