Add rice cereal to a large bowl and set aside. Spray baking dish and set aside.
Add butter to pan and melt. Add in marshmallows and stir continuously until melted (I added in 2 tbsp water to help it fully melt together because I used vegan marshmallows).
Pour marshmallow mixture over rice cereal and stir until evenly coated. Press rice krispie mixture into baking dish. Move quickly so the marshmallow mixture stays warm!
Set in the fridge for 30 minutes.
If adding toppings, melt chocolate chips with a little bit of coconut oil. Drizzle chocolate over the top of finished treats and sprinkle with some sea salt. Enjoy!
