These Strawberry Cheesecake Frozen Yogurt Bites are gluten free, refined sugar free, and higher in protein. Made with only a few simple ingredients, these bites are the perfect treat for hot summer days that everyone will love!
One of my all-time favorite flavor combinations is chocolate and strawberry. Any fruit covered in chocolate honestly is the best! The fruit is always sweet and soft while the chocolate is hard, crunchy, and rich – what could be better?? Well, I’ll tell you right now that these frozen yogurt bites take that flavor and texture combo to the next level. By adding yogurt to the mixture and freezing, you have bites that are creamy, tangy, sweet, crunchy, and rich. They’re perfect to have stocked in the freezer for when you want a refreshing sweet treat during a hot day, or just have a craving for something chocolately!
You can use this as a base recipe and swap out the fruit for different kinds like blueberries, raspberries, etc. The possibilities are endless and it couldn’t be easier 👏
Why You’ll Love These
- Minimal ingredients – This recipe only uses 6 ingredients! Budget-friendly, easy, and you might already have everything at home.
- Balanced sweet treat – By adding cottage cheese and Greek yogurt, these bites have extra protein making them more balanced and satiating while also satisfying your sweet tooth! You get high-fiber carbs from the strawberries and natural sweetener from the honey too.
- No bake – No oven needed and the only wait time is for them to set in the freezer.
- Dietary friendly – These are gluten free and refined sugar free depending on what dairy products are used.
What You’ll Need
- Cottage cheese – I use Good Culture for any of my recipes with cottage cheese because of the taste and quality being so good!
- Greek yogurt – To keep this refined sugar free, I make sure to look for yogurt with no added sugars like this one.
- Strawberries
- Honey – you can also use maple syrup.
- Chocolate chips – These are my favorite and melt SO perfectly!
- Coconut oil – to help smooth out the chocolate coating.
