What You’ll Need For These Froyo Treats

  • Greek yogurt – you can use dairy-free yogurt but make sure it has a thick consistency like Greek yogurt!
  • Maple syrup
  • Peanut butter – can use a different nut/seed butter but the taste will be slightly different.
  • Chocolate – for melting.
  • Optional mix-ins – I used peanuts for extra crunch but use anything you’d like (nuts/seeds, chocolate chips, granola, etc.) or skip this step!

How to Make

Start by mixing together the yogurt, maple syrup, and peanut butter. (Feel free to use dairy-free yogurt if needed as well as a different nut/seed butter – just note the taste might be slightly different than this original recipe!)

Line a plate or tray with parchment paper (make sure it will fit in your freezer). Place dollops of the yogurt mixture onto the parchment paper. Option to place popsicle sticks in the center of each! Top with peanuts for extra crunch and freeze for at least 1 hour or until fully set.

If you’re looking for a nut-free alternative, leave out the peanuts and freeze the mixture on its own or get creative with mix-ins like chocolate chips, granola, or other seeds!

While waiting for the pops to freeze, it’s time to make the chocolate coating. Begin melting chocolate chips in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each (option to do this step on the stovetop). If your chocolate is too thick, add 1 tablespoon coconut oil to thin it out.

Once everything is prepared, take your froyo bites out of the freezer and dip each into the melted chocolate until fully covered. Top with sea salt. Place them back in the freezer for 10-15 minutes until the chocolate hardens. Enjoy your sweet treat!
