Healthy Reese’s Protein Shake (Gluten Free, Vegan)

a clear glass holding a creamy white thick protein shake. there are dark chunks of reese's chocolate showing to show off the different textures in the glass. a clear glass straw is poking out of the left so it's ready to drink. the background is white to contrast the cream color of the shake.

This protein shake tastes just like Reece’s ice cream but it’s made with only a few nutrient-dense, better-for-you ingredients! It’s gluten-free, dairy-free, low in sugar, and HIGH in protein. Have this as a post-workout snack (like me) or whenever you’re craving a sweet treat!

What You’ll Need to Make This Protein Shake:

  • Banana – frozen, for extra creaminess.
  • Ice cubes
  • Almond milk – any dairy-free/regular milk will work.
  • Peanut butter – I use Kirkland Organic!
  • Vanilla bean powder – or vanilla extract.
  • Salt
  • Vanilla protein powder – my favorite is Sprout Living (code – callascleaneats)
  • Reese’s – I used my homemade healthier recipe!

How to Make:

Shakes are super simple to make, that’s why this has become one of my daily snacks! Literally, throw everything into a high-speed blender and you have a delicious treat 💁‍♀️ I know it’s pretty self-explanatory, but here’s a rundown of how to make this protein shake!

Blend together banana, ice cubes, milk of choice, peanut butter, vanilla bean powder, salt, and vanilla protein powder. Once that’s combined and your desired consistency, slice up one Reese’s. I love using my Healthier Reese’s Eggs because they’re made with only four ingredients and are high in protein on their own.

Put the Reese’s chunks in your blended mixture and pulse a couple of times in the blender. Be careful not to over-blend because you want the chunks to stay in there for added texture. Pour into a cup and enjoy!
