Apple Crisp (easy + healthy)

For the apple filling

maple syrup

lemon juice

arrowroot flour
(or tapioca starch or cornstarch)

tsp
cinnamon

tsp
allspice or nutmeg
pinch
sea salt
For the topping

cup
rolled oats
1/2
cup
gluten-free flour
1/4
cup
chopped pecans
1/4
cup
coconut sugar
(or any sugar)
1/3
cup + 2 tbsp
coconut oil
(melted)
1/2
tsp
cinnamon
pinch
sea salt
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350F.
Slice apples and place them in an 8x8 baking dish. Mix filling ingredients in a bowl. Pour over apples and stir. Bake for 20 minutes.
While the apples are baking, mix all of the topping’s dry ingredients and then stir in coconut oil.
Take apples out of oven, stir, add spoonfuls of topping, and bake another 25-30 minutes.
