Creamy Chia Oats

Ingredients

  • 1/3 heaping cup oats
  • 2 tsp chia seeds
  • 1 cup milk of choice (or more– to preferred consistency)
  • dash sea salt
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup (optional)
  • 1/2 - 1 scoop collagen or any protein powder (optional)
  • toppings (of choice)

Instructions

  • Bring your milk to a boil on the stovetop.
  • Add in oats, chia seeds, and sea salt. Turn your heat down to medium-low. Stir.
  • Stir continuously until you reach your desired consistency, about 5 minutes (I turn the heat off when it is still slightly runny because it will continue to thicken after you stop cooking).
  • Stir in your protein of choice and sweetener (both are optional).
  • Add toppings! I always try to at least add some sort of extra fat to keep me full ☺️
