Hi guys! Welcome to my blog π I’m Calla, the creator behind Calla’s Clean Eats!
Growing up, I always had an interest in health. I was into eating healthy and playing sports but was also a pretty normal kid who enjoyed her fair share of junk food and sugar (I still have that sweet tooth!). It wasn’t until I started college that I really began diving deep into nutrition. Reading books, listening to podcasts, doing my own research on different databases (when I was supposed to be doing research for class… oops). I loved following different health and food accounts on Instagram and one day I decided, why not start my own. I was already making tons of healthy recipes on the daily, so I began documenting my health journey on my Instagram account @callascleaneats.
A few of my favorite things: my crazy family. I have five siblings so I basically grew up in a mad house but I have the most fun memories and I am super super close with my family. I love food (of course). Shopping and fashion. Home decor (I share bits of all of these on my Instagram, too!). Spending time with my friends and connecting with new friends via social media. Fitness (somewhere along the way, exercise as punishment or means to change my body turned into a love for moving my body and a form of therapy mostly via weight training, pilates and sculpt classes, and walks). And traveling! So if you have any healthy restaurant recommendations in your city, send me a message on Instagram!)
I hope to inspire others by sharing my own experiences and what I’ve learned over the years along with easy, clean recipes. I love promoting a balanced diet of whole foods that make you feel amazing and also fun foods that make you happy. To me, health is not only about what you eat and how often you exercise… it’s about diet, exercise, stress, sleep, happiness, relationships, and everything in between. My goal is to encourage others to build healthy lifestyle habits, rather than force rigid rules upon themselves. It’s all making changes that will last!
